Features
- Display Unit used in EFS-50 system
- Typical EFS-50 System includes 1 or more ED-551A Display Units, CP-467 Control Panel, SG-465 Symbol Generator; optional MFD and/or Weather Radar can be added
- Panel-Mounted unit used to display flight information process by the Symbol Generator - the Symbol Generator receives information from aircraft attitude, navigation, guidance, and weather radar system sources
- 5" x 5" color CRT electronic display
- Converts X/Y axis deflections signals & red-green-blue video signals form the Symbol Generator
- May be used as an EHSI, EADI or MFD
- When used as an EADI, an inclinometer is mounted on the front panel
- Weather radar can also be displayed on either the EHSI or MFD
- Unit has no front panel controls, typically used with the CP-467 control panel
- ED-551A is scaled larger than the ED-461 & ED-462
- ED-551A draws larger characters & symbols when compared to the ED-551 (ED-551 no longer manufactured)
- Display receives power directly from the aircraft, does not draw current from the Symbol Generator
- Contains an internal fan blower
- An airflow sensor within the display unit will generate a fault indication on the display unit if insufficient airflow is detected
- Available in Gray or Black with 5 Vac, 5 Vdc or 28 Vdc lighting
