- Slaved directional gyro for use in KCS-305 compass system
- Typically used in conjunction with KMT-112 flux valve and KA-51A/B slaving accessory
- With KMT-112 and KA-51A/B this unit will provide heading information for any standard ARINC Autopilot or Flight Director System as well as heading cards on both Pictorial Navigation Indicators (PNI) and RMIs
- Has dual ARINC type synchro transmitters which are mechanically positioned for alignment by a stepper motor
- Tracks the true or slaved magnetic heading in 1/4 degree increments
- Allows manual slaving and monitoring of system's performance through pilot-operated controls
- 115 Vac, 400 Hz

- -02 version available with added Tumble Detect Circuit which is used to cycle back to fast slave and realign the compass magnetic heading when unusual attitude or rates causes large errors
